Fighting Spam

The economic reason why people spam our blog is because it is low cost advertise, it give profit for spammer but it nuisance to us, make our blog acces slowly and ugly looking. so I want to tell you a few tips how to fight spam in your blog.
1. Captcha
always use Captcha in your comment or your forum. this is important because Captcha can recognize that comment send by a human or a robot. But sometimes it doesn’t help much if a spammer doesn’t use robot to send a spam but they send forum mannually. in one case I found like 50 spam in my forum send manually every day (actually if I meet this guy I will kill him, lol). For CMS user you can find plug in for Captcha forum
2. Make additional stupid question
In comment form you can add a question like 3 X 8 = ….. why do we ask this stupid question? The reason is easy to answer but robot can’t answer it only human can answer it. Just like Captcha, function this question just to recognize human. But I not recomended this tips some people don’t like stupid question
3. Only registered user can comment
if tour blog visitor type “one time visitor” this tips no recomended, they will leave your blog because they think it will weste time when I registered in this blog
4. Ban spammer IP
yeah I like it. go to hell your uniq IP loosser. you can do it from your cpanel hosting. this one of my way to stop bad spammer
5. Use Akismet
Nice program to fight spam. It is bundled with wordpress, for non wordpress use u can find another program like Aksimet or ask your CS hosting, much hosting integrated akismet.
