How To Add Slider Inside Your Post and Page

Most sliders offer besides the view of images and the ability to view the article title and a text excerpt. There is slider navigations and transition effects to choose from. I have tested some of the most popular WordPress plugins for featured content slider, and made a list of my view, the most useful plugins for the implementation of a featured content slider together.
#1: WP Nivo Slider
WP Nivo Slider creates a Slideshow/Slider with post thumbnails in your posts configured for a particular category of your wordpress. It is entirely written in jQuery (following the pattern of my other plugins).
It can be integrated anywhere on your Blog/Website. The WP Nivo Slider shows your chosen Blog Posts from a specific Category.
To display the slider, insert the following code snippet into the appropriate template file (eg. index, singlepost, etc)

#2: Meteor Slides
Meteor Slides makes it simple to create slideshows and publish them with a shortcode, widget, or template tag. The slideshows scale with responsive and fluid themes to fit any device and have touch support. Powered by jQuery Cycle with over twenty transition styles to choose from.

To determine the point at which the slideshow will be displayed in the theme, you can either following PHP code directly into the appropriate template file (eg index.php, home.php) insert:

Alternatively, you also can view the slideshow by using the short code [meteor slideshow] directly inserts into an article or a page. As a third option, the plug-in also provides with a widget.
About the settings of the plug-in you have some basic options. You can for example again select the transition effect and the duration of the transition. Also you can hide or show the navigation.
#3: WordPress Content Slide
Content Slide is used to create fully customizable jquery Fading image slideshow anywhere within your WordPress site. Custom options include slideshow size, color, style and more. Created using Jquery Coin Slider and the fade effect is created using jquery inner Fade effect.

To integrate the slider in the theme, the following code in the desired template file must be inserted:

The plugin then uses the thumbnail images of the selected product category. Besides the numerous setting options in the admin panel there is also a page with description about the plug-in. Further information and advice you will find also on the plug-in website.
#4: Easing Slider
Easing Slider “Lite” is an easy to use slideshow plugin. Simple and lightweight, built with native WordPress functionality.
You can set up your slider images for showing either that indicates you are using custom fields (custom fields) in the articles. For this purpose you create the desired articles in each custom a field called “easing”. The value you wear then a URL for the image of the desired image.
Alternatively, you can compile the plug-in also has a slider from your own pictures and links. For this purpose you choose in the “Usage Settings” of the plug-in “Get image from: Custom images” from. The image and link URLs you wear to an image in the Custom tab of the Slider menu options.
To view the Easing Slider in your theme, you either need the following PHP code in the corresponding template file (eg index.php for display on the blog page):

Alternatively, also is still the short code [easing slider] available if you want to use the slider in a page or inside the post.
