Light Folio is our new free wordpress theme today, Light Folio build with style clean and light a combination black and white color. The theme has a unique, simple design that will perfectly fit for your personal blogs, portfolio, corporate and can be a perfect fit for a unique magazine-style-blog.

Light Folio Theme is provided to user under the open source GPL License, you can use it for all your project or at least use it as a foundation for your next projects for free and without any restrictions. Please link to this article if you would like to spread the world.

Beautiful theme. I’m still an amateur at WordPress so please excuse my ignorance. Is there any way to increase the number of images/posts in the slider? I’m developing a new site with a “top ten” feel and would like to have ten images/posts sliding on top.

Nice looking theme. Just a suggestion when you release a new theme, can you list what browsers it has been tested with? A lot of people want to know if a theme will work in IE6 or 7 before they download it.

Hi guys,
Excellent theme and I just find it amazing that there are people out there who can be so rude in their comments when the theme provided is free. It’s one thing to provide suggestions but another to suggest “ignorance” just because some feature is not present.

BTW, when I tried loading the theme, in the menu bar where the Home is, my Categories got loaded instead of my pages. Not very nice. Any ideas?

  yes, We’re using category list instead page list in the menu bar. This is because we add drop down feature for a hierarchized list there. People rarely have hierarchy in their page list. This means, that drop down feature will be wasted.
  
  that’s not the case for category list.
  
  If You insist using page list there, open header.php file of the theme
  
  Find this: < ?php wp_list_categories('title_li=&' ); ?>
  and replace it with: < ?php wp_list_pages('title_li=&' ); ?>
  
  In standard code editor, that code is in line 40

Hi – another quick question. I have stickied the posts that I want to stay in the top featured section, but it also makes them sticky on the post update section below the featured sections. How can I keep certain posts the same in the top featured section but not in the updates? I hope this makes sense. Thank you!

  I suggest you create special category for that top feature section
  then You make only posts from that new category appear in the top feature section, by changing this
  $topfeatured->query(‘showposts=3′);
  with
  $topfeatured->query(‘showposts=3&cat=categoryid’);
  cateogryid is that new cagetory id which you can find in your administrator page

I’m sorry, I just realized I didn’t really word this correctly. I edited the coding for the image slider to include 10 images and I would like the content slider to the right of it to always contain the 10 posts relating to the images. Basically the image slider and the content slider on the top right will always remain the same while the rest of the page updates normally. Is this possible?

Hi Reza, thank you very much for the help. I think I have almost everything figured out. The only issue I have left is I can’t seem to get my excerpts to be displayed on the home page rather than the beginnings of the posts.

I’ve been searching and editing code for a couple hours and I still can’t get it to work. I’m assuming it will be a simple fix but I’m having a lot of trouble with it.

Hi Guys! compliments for your theme. It’s an excellent work!. I wanted to do a review on my Italian site but the demo version I’ve encountered this error:
Do not see the sidebar and widgets.

Also appears footer. You know how to solve this problem?

  Usually, this problem occurs if one has pagenavi plugin installed in his wordpress
  this theme already has pagenavi embedded in it, so there’s conflict between this theme pagenavi and pagenavi plugin
  
  try deactivating the pagenavi plugin to fix the problem

    i just found a trick so the them pagenavi can work together with pagenavi plugin
    Hope this will work for you
    
    you could re-download the theme i posted above.
    
    you dont need to add any script to the theme to integrate the pagenavi plugin

Hi,

I came across your light folio theme for blogger and loved it! But I couldn’t find the sticky post feature in it and also I am unable to either modify or remove the recent comment rss widget that has been defaultly given the top-middle widget button.

Please Help!!

  I saw your site using blogspot, and the sticky post feature can only be used in wordpress. For recent comment RSS widget, I’m sorry we don’t have that widget in our theme, the default widget only “Add this button”, please see our theme demo: LigtFolio Demo.

Hiya, a big thank you for this fantastic theme – I’m teaching myself php so I can actually code the theme I’ve made, and I was struggling to find a theme that fit my needs in the meantime, and yours is just perfect and gorgeous. I do however have a bit of a stupid question… the featured posts have the ‘new image’ thing next to them, how does an image get added to that??

Hi,
Just installed the Light Folio theme, and very nice it looks too! One thing – is there any way to reduce the height of the space needed for the lead feature? I find this takes up too much space on the web page for my needs.
