Light Folio is our new free wordpress theme today, Light Folio build with style clean and light a combination black and white color. The theme has a unique, simple design that will perfectly fit for your personal blogs, portfolio, corporate and can be a perfect fit for a unique magazine-style-blog.
Light Folio Theme is provided to user under the open source GPL License, you can use it for all your project or at least use it as a foundation for your next projects for free and without any restrictions. Please link to this article if you would like to spread the world.

Beautiful theme. I’m still an amateur at WordPress so please excuse my ignorance. Is there any way to increase the number of images/posts in the slider? I’m developing a new site with a “top ten” feel and would like to have ten images/posts sliding on top.

Not very nice. Any ideas?

Hi there, glad You like the theme
yes, We’re using category list instead page list in the menu bar. This is because we add drop down feature for a hierarchized list there. People rarely have hierarchy in their page list. This means, that drop down feature will be wasted.
that’s not the case for category list.
If You insist using page list there, open header.php file of the theme
Find this: < ?php wp_list_categories('title_li=&' ); ?>
and replace it with: < ?php wp_list_pages('title_li=&' ); ?>In standard code editor, that code is in line 40

Hi – another quick question. I have stickied the posts that I want to stay in the top featured section, but it also makes them sticky on the post update section below the featured sections. How can I keep certain posts the same in the top featured section but not in the updates? I hope this makes sense. Thank you!

I suggest you create special category for that top feature section
then You make only posts from that new category appear in the top feature section, by changing this
$topfeatured->query(‘showposts=3′);
with
$topfeatured->query(‘showposts=3&cat=categoryid’);
cateogryid is that new cagetory id which you can find in your administrator page

I’m sorry, I just realized I didn’t really word this correctly. I edited the coding for the image slider to include 10 images and I would like the content slider to the right of it to always contain the 10 posts relating to the images. Basically the image slider and the content slider on the top right will always remain the same while the rest of the page updates normally. Is this possible?

yes, it’s possible,
You can add your images manually by editing the header.php file of the theme

Hi Reza, thank you very much for the help. I think I have almost everything figured out. The only issue I have left is I can’t seem to get my excerpts to be displayed on the home page rather than the beginnings of the posts.
I’ve been searching and editing code for a couple hours and I still can’t get it to work. I’m assuming it will be a simple fix but I’m having a lot of trouble with it.

Usually, this problem occurs if one has pagenavi plugin installed in his wordpress
this theme already has pagenavi embedded in it, so there’s conflict between this theme pagenavi and pagenavi plugintry deactivating the pagenavi plugin to fix the problem

You have been very efficient and timely. But I must tell you that although I have installed your new version there is still a problem of incompatibility with WP-PAGENAVI.

i just found a trick so the them pagenavi can work together with pagenavi plugin

I came across your light folio theme for blogger and loved it! But I couldn’t find the sticky post feature in it and also I am unable to either modify or remove the recent comment rss widget that has been defaultly given the top-middle widget button.
Please Help!!

I saw your site using blogspot, and the sticky post feature can only be used in wordpress. For recent comment RSS widget, I’m sorry we don’t have that widget in our theme, the default widget only “Add this button”, please see our theme demo: LigtFolio Demo.
We don’t make blogger version of this theme. We apologize, we couldn’t help you.

Hiya, a big thank you for this fantastic theme – I’m teaching myself php so I can actually code the theme I’ve made, and I was struggling to find a theme that fit my needs in the meantime, and yours is just perfect and gorgeous. I do however have a bit of a stupid question… the featured posts have the ‘new image’ thing next to them, how does an image get added to that??

Just installed the Light Folio theme, and very nice it looks too! One thing – is there any way to reduce the height of the space needed for the lead feature? I find this takes up too much space on the web page for my needs.

awesome theme, i am loving it
just a couple questions though:
can you change the way the drop don works so that wen the item extend beyond the see-able page, they stack to the right, making a rectangular box instead of just a long list that you have to scroll down to see??
on my site http://www.twocraftychicksonline.com you can see that under the category ‘scents’ i have a lot to list (and i will have more in the next couple months) and you have to scroll down the page to see them all. it’d like them to list maybe 10 or so down, then start making another row so you can see it all. is this possible?
also, again where you see the ‘scents’ list, i’d like the links in the drop down to point to the post page, not the ‘archive for the post’ which then requires another click to get to where you are trying to go…
also, on the post pages, for example here: http://www.twocraftychicksonline.com/soap/bonbon-chocolate-covered-cherry-soap
you can see that it seems like my product description is double spaced? i can’t for the life of me find where to fix this in the css… i’ve looked!
and one more thing, can i get the excerpts (like on the home page) to respect my line breaks, so that if I am listing ingredients, or products in a gift set, they will be on seperate lines instead of made into a nonsensical paragraph?
i know this is a lot, but i promised you guys i’ve spent a good few days troubleshooting and customizing y myself but these last few things are beyond my capabilities (like beyond your capabilities to read and write in every single language, which connie expected you to be able to do in her angry comment! lol!).

Actually Im not able to attach thumbnail to my posts . I dont have any Post’s Image section and I do that through Custom Fields . Please tell me the values that I should put theme in custom fields ( I use “thumb” as the name but it doesn’t work)

The thumbnail image is from the first image on your post, please insert the image in your post as usual, and don’t use custom fields.

I’ve been looking for a theme for my business and this one is just perfect! I love it.
I need some help, though.
I’m having problems with my menus. I’m using WordPress 3.0.4 so I thought I could use WordPress’
custom menu feature. I made a “primary menu”, checked “Automatically add new top-level pages”, added my pages and saved the menu. But, when I preview a post (to see how the drop-down looks), I don’t see any changes; only the “Home” and “Uncategorized” links show.What am I doing wrong? Please advise.

Thank you for your quick response, but I need a little more clarification
1. Can the theme be made to support 3.0 custom menus?
Here’s what I’ve done so far. I added ‘primary-menu’ ) ); ?> to the functions.php file. When I did, I got the message: “Your theme supports 1 menu. Select which menu you would like to use.” The only problem now is that when trying to add a function that calls my custom menu, I thought I needed to replace “” in the “header.php” file, but I couldn’t find that function.php file.
Can I add ” ‘primary-menu’ ) ); ?>” to the header.php file to get this to work?
If not…
2. If I can’t modify the header and function.php files to make 3.0 custom menus work, then how can I get I successfully add addition menu items to the template as it is?
The demo has multiple menu items and drop-downs below the header. I’d use that arrangement. I don’t want to use a menu widget in the sidebar; I plan on make a full-page template without sidebar.
I hope this makes sense; I’m trying this because I because I’m under the impression that you answer to my original question indicates that the template is compatible with my version of Word Press.
Please advise. This is my last question if I can’t get this to work.

Great Template! Really was exactly what i was looking for when i set out to do my website/blog. I noticed some glitching in the header slider, the picture changes but gets stuck some times then goes off sync with related post. Any way I can fix this?

Hi guys, nice work!
Just a question, can I thumb a youtube embed? Just like thumb a picture.
For example: If I begin a post with a picture, it will be thumbed, but if I begin with a youtube video, it will display nothing, unless you click and read the full post.
Another comment, if using the chrome browser, the slider get crazy within a few minutes of non use.
